Sierra Nevada Recalls Beer Following Broken Glass Concerns

The product liability attorneys at Breslin and Breslin are reporting that Sierra Nevada has recalled eight types of beer after discovering a packaging flaw that could lead to a piece of glass getting into a bottle.

The mistake in "a very limited" number of 12-ounce bottles sold in 36 states, including New Jersey, may result in loss of carbonation and "cause a small piece of glass to break off and possibly fall into the bottle, creating a risk of injury," Sierra Nevada said in a statement.

Sierra Nevada's Pale Ale, Torpedo Extra IPA, Tropical Torpedo, Sidecar Orange Pale Ale, Beer Camp Golden IPA, Otra Vez, Nooner and Hop Hunter IPA are included in the recall.

The beer affected was produced between Dec. 5, 2016 and Jan. 13. Delaware, New York and Pennsylvania are also among the states where beer is being recalled.

Individual bottles, six-packs and cases of Sierra Nevada's are on the list of recalled beers. Instructions on identifying recalled beer are listed on the company's website.
