Terrence J. Corriston is a member of the Bar of the State of New Jersey (1986), United States District Court of New Jersey, and the Bar of the State of New York (1987).

Upon graduation from Fordham University School of Law in 1986, Mr. Corriston served as Law Secretary to the Honorable James T. Murphy, Superior Court of New Jersey in Hackensack. Thereafter, he commenced his association with Breslin & Breslin, P.A.

In addition to specializing in real estate, land use and estate practice, Mr. Corriston is a recognized expert in Public Housing Authorities law, having been selected by Rutgers University to instruct courses on both Legal Issues and Public Procurement and Contract Management for the state mandated Housing Authority Executive Director and Commissioner’s training courses. The course material includes a Model Statement of Procurement Policy for Public Housing Authorities Operating in New Jersey which Mr. Corriston authored. The policy has been distributed to Housing Authorities throughout New Jersey.

Mr. Corriston currently serves as general counsel to housing authorities in the following jurisdictions: County of Bergen, City of Passaic, City of Englewood, Borough of Fort Lee, Town of Guttenberg, Township of Lakewood, Township of Woodbridge and Town of Boonton. He also serves as special counsel to the Housing Authority of the City of Linden Section 8 program and numerous other non-profit developers of affordable housing.

Since 1992, Mr. Corriston has been appointed by the Supreme Court of New Jersey to serve as secretary to the District IIA Fee Arbitration Committee. The committee resolves fee disputes between attorneys and their clients through binding arbitration.

Mr. Corriston is a member of the American Bar Association, the New Jersey State and Bergen County Bar Associations and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America. He is also a member of the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials (NAHRO) , as well as the National Leased Housing Association (NLHA).
