Kevin C. Corriston,
Esq. KEVIN CORRISTON is an attorney with the law firm of Breslin and Breslin, P.A. in Hackensack, New Jersey. Mr. Corriston is a 1985 graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University magna cum laude and earned his Juris Doctor at Fordham University School of Law in 1988. Mr. Corriston was admitted to the bar in the States of New Jersey and New York as well as the U.S. District Court in 1989 and has been practicing law with Breslin and Breslin, P.A. since that time. Mr. Corriston has held a number of public appointments and is presently the Public Defender for the Borough of Paramus (1989-1991, 2001-present) having also formerly served as the Public Defender for the Borough of Closter (1991, 1994-1995). Mr. Corriston was also the Municipal Prosecutor for the Boroughs of Palisades Park (1990-2000), Paramus (2000), Closter (1992-1994) and Leonia (1992). Mr. Corriston was selected by former Bergen County Prosecutor John Fahy to be one of six founding members of the Bergen County Municipal Prosecutors Steering Committee (1991) and also tried numerous indictable cases as a pool attorney for the State of New Jersey Office of the Public Defender (Bergen County 1989-1993). Kevin Corriston is an acknowledged expert in the field of DWI defense in municipal courts having had involvement in over 1000 DWI cases. In addition to having appeared in excess of over 200 different municipal courts throughout the State of New Jersey, Mr. Corriston has enjoyed extensive success in the trial of both criminal and civil Superior Court matters before a jury. Mr. Corriston’s most recent significant civil case resulted in an April 2002 settlement of $1.25 million for an automobile accident victim. Mr. Corriston is an Honorary Lifetime Member of the New Jersey Police Benevolent Association (Local 45) as well as a member of the Detectives Crime Clinic of New York and New Jersey. Mr. Corriston is also a member of the Bergen County, New Jersey State and American Bar Associations; the Association of Trial Lawyers of America; the Association of Trial Lawyers of America of New Jersey; the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the Justice Morris Pashman American Inn of Court. He serves on the Board of Trustees for the Storm King School in Cornwall, NY and is an active Fordham Law Alumnus. |
